keltec is notorious for MANY issues on first run guns. They do have a great warranty and service, but if you plan on dropping this kind of money... don't think you're getting a porsche simply because the sticker has high price.

Were this weapon to be made by.. FN lets say, then I'd think, "yeah, maybe it isn't that over priced" and I'd buy it knowing it was going to run as advertised.

This is like the Yugo car company trying to start making porsches... sure the yugo is a good car, but common... it's a friggin yugo!

Sorry MAYBE, and I mean MAYBE, I might consider buying one if the price was sub 1,000 for the base model.

Between my wife and I we own 3 keltecs, I have nothing against them... I also realize what they are and their place in the arsenal.

IMO keltec is making a huge mistake trying to go from a economy line to a top of the line. This is going to end up as the best or more likely worst move they've ever made. No in betweens here IMO.

I'll revisit them when the second generation comes out and they work out all the inevitable kinks.

Off topic:

A friend of mine told me about a car dealer in eastern Massachusetts that got a Yugo franchise. He got some guys to go to Boston to drive eight Yugos from the port to his dealership, maybe fifty miles. Only one made it all the way! Brand new cars, right off the ship, couldn't even go fifty miles!

Are you aware that the "plastic"/polymer used on Glocks is 18% stronger than steel??
